Position Summary:
MarshBerry is seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Analytics & AI Manager to lead a team dedicated to delivering high-quality data solutions and client experiences. The Data Analytics & AI Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective advanced analytic solutions to enable data driven decisions and outcomes. The Data Analytics & AI Manager is responsible for leading a team of Data Analysts and project teams which will include setting priorities, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring the timely completion of projects.
This position will work from the Beachwood, OH office Monday through Thursday with the option to work remotely on Friday's.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for BI, analytics, and AI initiatives, maintaining visibility into project priorities, requirements, dependencies, owners, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
    • Partner with business owners to understand business problems, workflows, and desired outcomes and translate them into well-defined project scopes and actionable requirements.
    • Lead structured requirements-gathering sessions and document business requirements, functional requirements, data requirements, acceptance criteria, process flows, and key decisions.
    • Establish appropriate project plans and development processes to move initiatives from discovery and requirements through development, testing, deployment, and adoption.
    • Coordinate effectively across business stakeholders, Data Engineering, IT, developers, vendors, and other technology partners.
    • Help prioritize competing BI and AI initiatives based on business value, effort, dependencies, risk, and organizational readiness.
    • Identify project risks, requirements gaps, and dependencies early and drive issues toward resolution.
    • Apply Agile, Scrum, or similar development methodologies where appropriate to improve project transparency, accountability, and execution.
  • Own complex Power BI solutions from requirements gathering and data validation through dashboard design, development, testing, launch, and ongoing enhancement.
  • Develop intuitive, scalable dashboards and analytical tools that enable senior leaders and business teams to understand performance and make better-informed decisions.
  • Apply advanced Power BI capabilities, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, visualization design, performance optimization, and security.
  • Use SQL, Databricks, and related tools to explore data, investigate issues, prototype analytical solutions, and validate outputs.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering to translate business logic into precise data requirements and ensure underlying data models support reporting and analytical needs.
  • Establish and promote standards for dashboard development, documentation, testing, governance, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Identify business processes and workflows where AI, automation, or emerging technologies can create meaningful efficiencies or improve decision-making.
  • Lead AI solutions from use-case definition and requirements gathering through prototyping, testing, deployment, user training, and adoption.
  • Develop or contribute directly to AI solutions, which may include custom GPTs, AI applications, agents, Skills, workflow automations, and AI-enabled analytics.
  • Partner with IT, Data Engineering, security, and other stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are appropriately designed, governed, tested, and supported.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and capabilities and translate technical possibilities into practical business applications.
  • Collaborate across Lincoln and MarshBerry with teams involved in developing and implementing AI solutions and standards.
  • Develop a strong understanding of investment banking workflows, business processes, and data, either through prior financial services experience or demonstrated ability to learn complex business domains quickly.
  • Mentor and coach team members and help strengthen the team's capabilities in analytics, Power BI, requirements gathering, project execution, and AI.
  • Communicate technical concepts, project status, risks, options, and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Promote disciplined documentation, testing, development, and change-management practices.
  • Help establish repeatable processes and standards that enable the organization to scale its BI, analytics, and AI capabilities.
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Agile, Scrum Master, Project Management Professional (PMP), Power BI, Microsoft, Databricks, or related certifications are preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other software as it applies.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in an Advanced Analytics role with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in managing work teams to achieve and exceed team goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and translating them into clear technical and functional specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects involving business stakeholders and technical development teams.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and visualization best practices.
  • Working proficiency with SQL and experience querying, validating, and troubleshooting data.
  • Experience with Databricks, cloud data platforms, or modern data architectures preferred.
  • Experience developing, implementing, or supporting generative AI solutions, including ChatGPT, custom GPTs, agents, AI applications, Skills, APIs, or similar technologies, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within IT development, software development, systems implementation, or application-development environments is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and/or prior experience serving as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role is a plus.
