Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic and knowledgeable industry professionals who are experts in their field and enthusiastic about the transformative potential of artificial intelligence. As an AI Workforce Trainer and Content Developer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, industry-specific training programs that empower professionals to integrate AI into their work. The ideal candidate will bring practical experience in both their industry and the application of AI.
This role combines instructional delivery with hands-on content development and is ideal for individuals passionate about bridging AI with real-world applications. Priority will be given to candidates with expertise in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, construction, project management, and software development. However, professionals from other industries who are eager to explore and teach the use of AI in their domain are also encouraged to apply.
This position primarily involves evening instruction hours to accommodate working professionals. However, occasional daytime availability is required for departmental meetings, training sessions, or collaborative planning activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Content Development
With the support and expertise of an instructional designer:
  • Design and develop engaging, hands-on training content tailored to specific industries (e.g., AI in Healthcare, AI in Construction).
  • Create instructional materials including lesson plans, case studies, datasets, coding labs, and assessments.
  • Ensure content aligns with current industry standards, ethical considerations, and emerging AI technologies.

Instructional Delivery
  • Deliver workshops and training sessions to adult learners with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Facilitate interactive learning experiences that encourage participation and real-world application.
  • Provide individualized support and feedback to learners to ensure comprehension and skill development.

Program Support
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with program coordinators, lab aides, and instructional designers to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with AI trends, tools, and applications relevant to your industry focus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Deep understanding of AI fundamentals and their application in real-world industry settings.
  • Ability to design and deliver training that bridges technical concepts with practical use cases.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on adult education.
  • Adaptability and creativity in instructional methods and content delivery.
  • Commitment to student success and continuous improvement of training programs.
  • Ability to represent the College and Division in a professional manner, adhering to institutional policies and values.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
  • Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications with significant relevant experience.
  • At least one year of teaching, training, or content development experience.
  • Proficiency in AI concepts and tools, with the ability to translate them into practical, industry-relevant applications.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage adult learners with a wide range of professional experience, learning styles, and educational backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in the area of discipline.
  • Industry experience in one or more of the following: healthcare, manufacturing, construction, project management, or software development.
  • Demonstrated experience in content development and instructional design.
  • Experience using Canvas, Zoom, or other learning management and virtual instruction platforms.
  • Certifications in AI, data science, or relevant industry credentials.
