Senior ServiceNow AI EngineerAbout the Role

McKesson is seeking a Senior ServiceNow AI Engineer to deliver innovative AI-powered solutions that improve healthcare operations and employee experiences at enterprise scale. This role combines advanced software engineering, ServiceNow platform expertise, intelligent automation, and cloud-native development to implement secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. You will work closely with product, architecture, security, and engineering teams to build AI-enabled workflows, modern integrations, and automation capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and deploy enterprise-scale ServiceNow and AI-powered solutions.
  • Develop intelligent workflows using AI Agents, Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and automation capabilities.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs, integrations, and reusable platform services.
  • Translate solution designs into secure, scalable, production-ready implementations.
  • Drive cloud-native, API-first, and automation-focused engineering practices.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, testing automation, platform reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement long-term solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and innovation initiatives.
Basic Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, enterprise platforms, or automation technologies.
  • 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, APIs, and integration technologies.
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled, automation, workflow, or intelligent platform solutions.
  • Experience building and supporting REST APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI Agents, and AI workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with Now Assist, AI Agent Studio, Predictive Intelligence, Workflow Data Fabric, or Virtual Agent.
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, enterprise AI platforms, or large language models (LLMs).
  • Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and conversational AI.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or large enterprise environments.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS, or AI-related certifications.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and influencing architectural decisions.
Travel, Work Location & Physical Requirements
  • Primarily remote or hybrid work environment based on business needs.
  • Occasional travel for team collaboration, planning activities, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and participate in virtual meeting
