Job Description

The Supervisor Materials Procedural provides supervision of the staff and daily supply chain operations by ensuring service goals are met in a timely manner. This position is responsible for complying with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Complies and sets the example for OSHA, FDA, AHRMM, JC, AORN, AAMI leading practices. Responsible for identifying service and performance opportunities and takes action to ensure follow through. Responsibility for inventory management of sterile core supplies, par carts, specialty carts, room stock, etc. for all procedural areas of the hospital.

  • Cross train with all employees and areas of functionality for business continuity.

  • Focus on efforts to maximize quality, minimize costs, and work towards system goals.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally at all levels with multiple stakeholders throughout hospital and corporate SC team.

  • Collaborate with Value Analysis teams and sub-groups at hospital to track and report on new products.

  • Computer proficient, must be comfortable learning and managing multiple systems.

  • Lead, coach, engage team in a manner that is consistent with SLH mission, vision, values.

  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff, supply chain staff and third-party vendors.

  • Directly responsible for onboarding new supply chain staff, approving time off, payroll, annual reviews, and employee engagement.

  • Take an active leadership role in supply chain improvements such as: collaborative projects; guidance / training / mentoring; service level enhancements; cost savings; value-enhancing data analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in supply chain, health management or related field and 3-5 years' experience required.

  • Clinical certificate and 3 years' experience or 5+ years' experience in hospital procedural area supply chain may be substituted in lieu of Associate's Degree.

  • AHRMM CMRP, APICS CPIM or Lean process improvement certification preferred.
