Our Technology Stack
Our web application is a Ruby on Rails monolith, supported by Postgres, Redis, and Memcached. We also use Node.js for real-time updates and collaborative editing, hosted on AWS with ECS for scalability.

We leverage React on the front end for rich, interactive experiences, balancing Rails’ simplicity with React’s advanced functionality. We adopt new technologies that enhance our product while being mindful of maintenance overhead.

We plan and collaborate in Aha! Roadmaps and Aha! Develop, using Slack and Zoom for communication (rarely email).

Your Experience

-Technical Skills: At least two years of experience with Ruby on Rails, producing scalable, maintainable code, and building features for high-growth SaaS companies.
-Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and experience working on significant functionality for cloud-based products.
-Team Collaboration: Active collaboration with product teams and a willingness to help others.
-Scale Experience: Previous experience working at scale and a desire to do so again.

Your Role at Aha!
As a Ruby on Rails Engineer, you will work across the full stack on a variety of features, including:

-Feature Implementation: Building new features across the MVC layers.
-Interactive Interfaces: Creating dynamic reporting interfaces with React.
-Collaboration: Working with product and UX teams to refine specifications.
-Performance Optimization: Investigating and optimizing performance for a snappy user experience.
-Customer Support: Addressing bugs quickly through regular customer support rotations.
-Documentation: Documenting components in our style guide to ensure consistency.

Why Aha!
At Aha!, we believe in helping everyone reach their fullest potential. We provide a high-growth environment where meaningful work and strong team connections lead to engagement and success. Our benefits include:

-Compensation: Base salary of $100,000 to $160,000 in the US, with profit sharing and retirement contributions.
-Healthcare: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans (100% premiums covered for many teammates).
-Time Off: Up to 200 hours of paid time off annually, plus paid parental leave and care/bereavement leave.
-Education: Up to $1,000 annually for third-party education and paid time off for learning.
