Job Description:
Summary:
The Education Instructor will be responsible for teaching ACLS and CPR. This will include communicationg with the Coordinator and other ACLS/CPR instructors, on a regular basis, who will assist in presenting classes. The Instructor will present classes to employees and community individuals, and complete all necessary paperwork for the Coordinator and the American Heart Association. The Instructor will maintain current status as instructor and participate in updates. The Instructor will also oversee maintenance of the manikins.
Requirements:
Degree from an accredited Nursing program or Paramedic with similar field of study. Minimum three years experience in care of intensively ill patients. Training as an instructor in AHA ACLS and BLS preferred. Candidates without current AHA instructor status at time of hire must be certified in Provider AHA BLS and ACLS with attainment of AHA BLS instructor status within 6 weeks of hire and AHA ACLS Instructor status within 6 months of hire to retain position. Efficient organizational and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Valid and active RN licensure or Paramedic licensure in appropriate state
