Job description

LMI is seeking a highly skilled Training Device and Resource Analyst to provide Integrated Product Support (IPS) services for the Apache Attack Helicopter (AAH) Project Office (PO). This role contributes to the development, integration, and execution of training courseware, devices, and resources required for AH-64 Apache operators and maintainers. The analyst ensures alignment with the Program of Instruction (POI) for units and guarantees technical resources meet training requirements and operational readiness objectives.  This position is a hybrid role with some work onsite in Huntsville, AL.

This position is integral to supporting both United States Army (USA) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities, ensuring all training resources meet mission goals throughout the lifecycle of development, fielding, and sustainment of the AH-64 Apache and associated systems.

  • Active Secret security clearance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • 8+ years of professional relevant experience, with at least 2+ years working with Army Aviation, Information Technology, system automation, or intelligent systems. 
  • Training Device Analysis: Provide detailed analyses and recommendations regarding the computer resource requirements necessary for the design, development, and delivery of training courseware. 
  • Integration and Allocation: Support resource allocation and technical integration of electronic training devices IAW the Program of Instruction, ensuring alignment with Apache operator and maintainer needs. 
  • Mission Alignment: Collaborate with instructional teams, technical staff, and field personnel to optimize training device development and execution strategies to meet mission-critical operational readiness goals. 
  • Documentation and Coordination: Contribute to the development and updating of training-related documents, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with AH-64 PO requirements and mission objectives. 
  • Technical Resource Support: Ensure training device resources are compatible with approved tools, systems, and software to facilitate seamless training operations.

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven experience with training device development, integration, and courseware implementation tailored to military and aviation applications. 
  • Familiarity with the Program of Instruction (POI) for AH-64 Apache systems and training strategies, including technology-based, multimedia training materials such as Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) and Virtual Immersive Environments (VIE). 
  • Knowledge of computer resources and electronic training devices required to support field training activities in operational and sustainment environments. 
  • Analytical expertise in assessing technical resource needs and recommending allocations that optimize operational tempo (OPTEMPO). 
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across instructional, technical, and logistics teams to establish and maintain optimized training resources.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) and other technology-based Apache training devices. 
  • Experience with validation and verification of training systems, tools, and equipment per government requirements. 
  • Proficiency in developing Statements of Work (SOW) for acquiring Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) aligned with mission goals.

The target salary range for this position is up to- $90,000.
