Job description

Club Location:

Montgomery Country Club - Laytonsville, MD

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages, supervises, and assists the golf course maintenance department day-to-day activities through maintaining quality standards, developing and retaining maintenance employees and exceeding guest and member expectations.
  • Promotes Arcis Golf's philosophies throughout the golf course to employees, members, and guests.
  • Assists the golf course superintendent with supervision, management, execution, and growth of the agronomy team
  • Experience, understanding, and knowledge of irrigation systems including their maintenance, repair, and operation.
  • Experienced with application equipment calibration and operation
  • Proven track-record of dependability, reliability, and great communication skills
  • Assists with golf course renovation and construction projects

Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Education / Experience:

  • Formal education in Turf Management or a related field, or progressive experience in the golf industry will also be considered
  • Supervisory experience with a golf course management team of at least 4-5 years.
  • State Certified Pesticide License or the ability to obtain one in 60 days. Experience in irrigation management and with turf applications
  • PGA Tour event experience is a big plus

Pay Range: $40,000.00 - $125,000.00
