Job description

Mechanical Engineer 2 – Simple Job Summary

Location: Tech Center Building G, Caterpillar
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Experience: 2–4 years (Not more than 4 yrs)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering

What the Engineer Will Do
  • Support electric drive component and system testing.
  • Create test plans and prepare test equipment/DUTs.
  • Install instrumentation and execute performance and durability tests.
  • Analyze test data and summarize results.
  • Troubleshoot issues with test stands, controls, and mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with design, controls, simulation, and other engineering teams.
  • Lead weekly project update meetings and prepare technical presentations.
  • Spend approximately 70% of the time in the lab and 30% at a desk.

Preferred: DEWESoft DAS or CANape experience.
