As a Senior International Logistics Analyst, you are responsible for partnering closely with Planning Inventory Management, Third Party Logistics Providers, Domestic First Mile Transportation, and Systems Product teams to ensure efficient international operations and performance. This role is responsible for coordinating international air freight activities, supporting import system maintenance and configuration, analyzing transportation disruptions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enable a reliable import network.

The analyst engages in operations, systems coordination, process development and improvement, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to improve execution and meet evolving business needs. This role leverages operational experience, data-driven insights, root cause analysis, and strong partnership skills to deliver excellence across Target's international supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, coordinate and support International Air Freight operations and related processes.
  • Partner with Third Party Logistics Providers, Planning Inventory Management, Domestic First Mile Transportation, and Systems Product teams to effectively flow freight and to resolve challenges using data analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Analyze, maintain, and configure multiple systems.
  • Support implementation of new capabilities, operational routines, and system enhancements that improve import transportation performance.
  • Establish and document operational processes and best practices that improve consistency and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor transportation disruptions and communicate impacts across cross-functional partners.
  • Utilize critical thinking and operational analysis to identify risks, recommend solutions, and improve overall transportation reliability.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across business functions to support strategic logistics objectives.
  • Provide operational support during major incidents and assist with escalation management when required.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in international logistics, transportation/supply chain, or operations.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience working with transportation systems.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and communicate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
  • Experience establishing operational processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours if needed, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and major incident escalations.
  • Experience partnering with third-party logistics providers.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs.
