Work Location: AGI Fabricators – Milwaukee

Division: Manufacturing (Full Time)

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Welder/Fabricator is responsible for working with various materials (including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum), and will be adept at both welding operations and operation of fabrication equipment and handle a range of materials to meet diverse project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or a member in good standing with a local bargaining unit
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years’ experience as a Welder/Fabricator
  • Certificates/Licenses: Driver’s License. Welding certificate preferred.
  • Physical Job Requirements: Move throughout office, construction site, general outdoor environments, and use/climb a ladder

Key Activities

  1. Material Expertise: Work with a variety of materials and understand their unique properties and requirements.
  2. Equipment Operation: Operate fabrication machinery (rollers, brake presses, hand tools).
  3. Collaborative Fabrication: Collaborate closely with fabrication team to integrate material-specific expertise.
  4. Material Preparation: Handle and prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
  5. Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using various techniques (MIG, TIG) tailored to specific material being worked on.
