Job Summary

The Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for sales growth, profitability, and account penetration in the Aggregate line of business.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective customers and markets
  • Evaluate potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, products and demands, delivery capabilities, risks, and customer support
  • Maintain customer quotations, order entry, backlog reporting, accounts receivable coordination, and overall customer experience
  • Collaborate with customer, production, and material distribution teams to ensure effective execution of customer requirements
  • Educate customers on the selection and application of aggregate materials and logistics required to fulfill contract requirements
  • Establish pricing strategies that balance profitability with longโ€‘term territory and company objectives
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to product or service issues
  • Partner closely with the Accounts Receivable team to manage collections and meet DOS targets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Education

Bachelorโ€™s Degree preferred in sales/marketing, related field, or equivalent experience of 5+ years of aggregate sales

Skills
  • Minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ progressive sales experience of aggregate construction materials and service
  • Knowledge of aggregate construction materials application
  • Knowledge of negotiation tactics, bid processes, pricing indexes and current costs
  • Experience with city, county, state, federal commercial bidding/award procedures
  • Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong math and computer skills with problem solving ability
  • MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint and experience
  • Previous experience with CRM programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with high level of self-confidence and energy.
