Job Summary

The Aggregate Operations Manager oversees the operations of regional aggregate mine sites.

Compensation

$120k-$135k DOE

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for mine planning, safety, environmental matters, cost control, production and maintenance for assigned aggregate operations
  • Responsible for mine planning and mining process
  • Document production statistics and produce reports as required
  • Supervise production operations; manage team 
  • Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment
  • Communicate with local community as required
  • Participate in the capital and operating budget processes
  • Maintain working relationships with all departments to ensure work objectives can be met
  • Develop plans to work towards improved performance and lower operating costs
  • Participate on the safety committee
Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience running an aggregate site
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of surveying
  • Project management experience
  • Commitment to safety
  • Strong computer skills - presentations and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of SAP
 
Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing. For work that will be performed in the San Francisco area, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
