About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Batch Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our wet mix concrete batch plant, specializing in the production of architectural and structural self‑consolidating concrete (SCC) mixes. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring deep technical knowledge of concrete mix design, plant operations, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities Plant Operations
  • Manage all aspects of daily wet mix batch plant operations, ensuring consistent and accurate production of architectural and structural SCC mixes.
  • Oversee batching accuracy, mix design compliance, and quality control procedures for all produced concrete.
  • Maintain and enforce strict adherence to mix design specifications, ensuring slump flow, viscosity, and aggregate gradation meet project requirements.
  • Monitor aggregate moisture content and make real‑time mix adjustments to maintain SCC performance standards.
  • Coordinate production schedules to align with project delivery timelines and volume demands.
  • Maintain detailed batch records, production logs, and quality control documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, and applicable industry standards for SCC production.
Equipment Maintenance
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all rolling equipment associated with batch plant operations, including:
  • Front‑end loaders (aggregate handling, stockpile management)
  • Front‑discharge ready mix trucks (drum maintenance, hydraulic systems, chutes, water tanks)
  • Schedule and coordinate routine servicing, inspections, and repairs -- minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment availability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and parts inventories.
  • Work with outside vendors and equipment dealers for warranty repairs, parts procurement, and specialized service needs.
  • Conduct pre‑shift and post‑shift equipment inspections and enforce operator accountability.
Qualifications & Requirements Required
  • 5+ years of experience in concrete batch plant operations, with direct supervisory or management responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience producing self‑consolidating concrete (SCC) -- both architectural and structural applications.
  • Working knowledge of wet mix batching systems (Command Alkon, VERIFI, or equivalent preferred).
  • Hands‑on mechanical aptitude with proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot front loaders and front‑discharge ready mix trucks.
  • Strong understanding of concrete mix design principles, admixture systems, and raw material quality control.
  • Familiarity with ACI 237R (Self‑Consolidating Concrete) guidelines and ASTM C1611 / C1621 test methods.
Preferred
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification (Grade I or higher).
  • Experience with architectural SCC for precast or tilt‑up applications where finish quality is critical.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
