Outside Sales Representative

Indy Equipment & Supplyis looking to hire an Outside Sales Representativeto join our team. The position is responsible for generating and creating rental contracts, supply sales and compact equipment sales opportunities within the construction industry in the Northeast Ohio area. This position will travel between different locations as needed.

A typical day looks like:

  • Initiating new business via cold calls, scheduling appointments, visiting jobs sites, and telemarketing
  • Maintaining current accounts, community, and business contacts
  • Training new customers on new products and/or new features
  • Occasionally providing training to new sales reps
  • Researching and preparing supply sales orders and quotes in a timely manner for customers
  • Providing customers with reliable information regarding product specifications, product suitability, pricing, and availability by utilizing deep product knowledge and performing research
  • Creating quality customer base within Cuyahoga, Medina, Lorain, and Summit Counties
  • Attending scheduled training events and continually improving product knowledge

Do you have what it takes?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years previous sales experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years related experience within the construction or construction materials industry
  • Good driving record
  • Must present a professional reflection of the company
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
