Job description

Position Purpose:
 

The Top Hat & FEA-x Quality Lead aggregates the former DQL (Top Hat Quality Lead) and FEA-x Quality Lead roles into a single end-to-end Quality authority embedded within the FEA-x organization. 

The role ensures robust launches of Top Hat programs and serial life windows sharing the same electrical architecture by: 

  • Securing full compliance to Functional PDP and legacy EHE deliverables at each milestone 
  • Bringing the Voice of the Customer into the Top Hat development loop 
  • Driving quality convergence and issue burn-down toward SOP 
  • Ensuring lessons learned are captured and implemented across programs 

This position acts as the Quality integrator between Top Hat programs and the FEA-x machinery.

  • Identify missing or weak deliverables impacting launch quality 
  • Challenge program teams on readiness gaps 
  1. Program Quality Assessment (with FEAs & SSTMs)

Drive structured Design reviews covering: 

2.1 Quality Status 

  • Functional design readiness 
  • Feature availability 
  • Validation maturity 
  • Software robustness including DTC convergence  
  • APQP status 
  • DFMEA/PFMEA completion 

2.2 Issue Tracking 

  • Critical issue identification and prioritization 
  • Burn-down follow-up 
  • Escalation management (FEW / TCCB / Project review)
