Job description

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Haul Truck Driver based out of our Newberry, FL plant. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment and working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment.

Day to Day

  • Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
  • Safely operate a haul truck, farm tractor, water truck or rubber tire backhoe.
  • Operate equipment in quarry
  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
  • Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
  • Cleans equipment, clears obstacles in work environment.

About You

  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Positive, Team-based attitude
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • No prior experience required, training provided

Working Conditions
While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
