Job Title: Aggregate Driver CDL
Work Schedule: Day shift, flexible hours. Overtime as required.
Full or Part Time: Full time only
Reports to: Ready Mix Manager
Salary: $27.00 Depending on experience
Raptor Materials - a subsidiary of Eagle Materials is seeking qualified CDL truck drivers. Truck drivers are responsible for the daily operation of transporting product from the quarry areas to customers and/or plants or in-quarry hauling with articulating trucks while complying with all applicable DOT rules, mining regulations, and /or Raptor Materials policies at all times. Truck drivers also operate trucks in the plant area and assist with other plant operations as required by the direction of the employee's supervisor. In addition to possessing truck driving skills, preferred candidates will also possess heavy equipment operating skills.
Ongoing safety and operational training programs for all employees. We also provide comprehensive defensive driving training to all new hires.
Job Responsibilities:
• Safety: Learn our company's safety program and perform safe practices at all times.
• Delivery: Deliver product safely and efficiently from production sites to customer projects. Ensure delivery records are processed appropriately.
• Customer Service: Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner.
• Teamwork: Be a team player and maintain a positive attitude with other team members
• Communication: Communicate with dispatch, plant operators, other drivers, and customers to provide best-in-class service.
• Quality: Visually inspect the quality and consistency of the product you are hauling
• Maintenance: Perform daily preventative truck maintenance and inspection report any issues to supervisor
• Dependability: Demonstrate reliable work ethic and self-motivation. Ensure environmental and DOT requirements are followed.
• Good mechanical background and ability to assist mechanics in servicing or repair of vehicle.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to complete job assignments without constant supervision.
• Good attendance and safety record
• Ability to follow safety rules and operation guidelines and must be familiar with MSHA standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate proper pre-shift inspections of a vehicle, prover operation of a tractor-trailer in a loaded and unloaded stat, and proper operation of a front-end loader.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with various plant operations, such as general carpentry, maintenance and mechanical work as needed.
• Monitor truck and company equipment to ensure proper operation and professional appearance.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or coolant and performing minor repairs.
• Performs other related duties, as required by supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
• Valid CDL Class A
• Must pass a road test.
• Able to work 40-60 hours a week.
• Available to work some Saturdays.
• Motor vehicle record (MVR) with safe driving record)
• Active DOT Medical Card
• Clean criminal background
• Must complete a drug screen, range of motion and Audio testing.
Physical Requirements
• Capable of working outside in all weather conditions and in elevated areas
• Capable of pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs. and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of climbing equipment ladder and working off platform
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment, check and fill fluids as required.
• Ability to perform and/or assist with basic maintenance of truck.
• Use of various tools to clean and maintain appearance and integrity of truck.
• Clean exterior of truck and drum including lights, windshield, and windows
• Perform varying tasks associated with mixer trucks, batch plants and concrete.
• Work in changing seasonal environment-working hours based on seasonal demand.
• Ability to walk, climb, grasp, stand and balance.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended time, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and balancing.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
Driving:
• Interstate, state and county highways, city streets, dirt roads and mine sites
• Operate truck in a safe and lawful manner.
General:
