Job Title

Junior Sales Representative – Edible Oils & Release Agents

Position Summary

The Junior Sales Representative – Edible Oils & Release Agents supports the commercial team in the sale and promotion of specialty edible oils, bakery release agents, and related functional ingredients. This entry-level role is designed to build technical product knowledge, application awareness, and consultative sales skills while supporting foodservice operators, bakeries, food manufacturers, and distributors.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior sales representatives in managing existing accounts focused on edible oils and release agents
  • Assist in identifying and qualifying new customers within bakery, snack, prepared foods, and foodservice segments
  • Coordinate product samples, technical data sheets, specifications, and pricing requests
  • Participate in customer meetings, production trials, and plant visits to understand equipment, processes, and application requirements
  • Develop knowledge of edible oil and release agent functionality, including viscosity, performance, yield improvement, and equipment compatibility
  • Assist in responding to customer questions related to product performance, storage, handling, and shelf life
  • Maintain accurate customer records, opportunity tracking, and follow-ups within CRM systems
  • Support order entry, demand forecasting, and basic sales and margin reporting
  • Communicate customer feedback to internal teams including Operations, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and R&D
  • Assist with trade shows, product demonstrations, and application testing as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, food manufacturing, bakery operations, or ingredient-related roles (internships acceptable)
  • Strong interest in edible oils, bakery release agents, and functional food ingredients
  • Ability to learn and clearly communicate technical product information
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, plant trials, and training
