Job Description We are seeking a Java + Python AI Agent Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Python, Spring Boot, and AI/agent-based systems and a proven ability to design, implement, and deploy autonomous agents and intelligent services in a scalable production environment. The role requires on-site presence in Addison, TX at least 3 days per week starting day 1. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy AI agents for autonomous decision-making and task execution. Build Java and Spring Boot services that integrate agents with APIs, databases, and external systems. Apply machine learning fundamentals for model training, evaluation, and deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in Core Java and Python; experience with Spring Boot. Hands-on experience building or integrating AI agents, such as autonomous, conversational, or task-oriented agents. Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, model training, fine-tuning, embeddings, validation, evaluation, and deployment. Familiarity with Java ML libraries (e.g., Deeplearning4j, Weka, Apache Mahout) and exposure to Python tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or LangChain. Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and handling structured and unstructured data. Strong OOP, design patterns, Git version control, unit testing, debugging, and CI/CD familiarity. Effective collaboration, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Experience level: 5+ years in software engineering. Preferred Skills: Experience implementing autonomous agents for planning or environment interaction; familiarity with JADE, OpenAI Gym, ReAct, or AutoGPT. Understanding of reactive vs. deliberative agent architectures and multi-agent systems. Integration experience with APIs, databases, and external services; exposure to AWS or Azure. Familiarity with LLM-based agents and prompt engineering. Work Arrangement and Interview Process Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week on-site in Addison, TX. On-site required day 1.
