- EAMC MISSION
- At East Alabama Medical Center, our mission is high quality, compassionate health care, and that statement guides everything we do. We set high standards for customer service, quality, and keeping costs under control.
- POSITION SUMMARY
- Our Labor and Delivery Department includes 13 private labor, delivery and recovery suites. The unit also features 2 operating rooms for Cesarean section deliveries, a 4 bed PACU recovery area, and an 8 bed triage/antepartum area. Labor and Delivery nurses are expected to provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of the baby. They are responsible for making sure that the medical as well as emotional needs of the patient are adequately met throughout the entire birth process.
