Job description

The Lead Industry Manager will manage the SMB Agency Sales Account Management business, responsible for revenue delivery and growth.  They will lead a large vendor sales team in executing and operationalizing the strategy. 

What you'll do:

  • Drive retention and upsell across our 1K+  SMB agencies 
  • Retain and grow 7K+ managed advertisers
  • Define the operational sales strategy by developing and standardizing operational systems to empower the SMB team to operate at scale
  • Lead a high-performing team of sellers to deliver against quarterly revenue targets through effective planning, goal-setting, data analysis, and forecasting
  • Manage relationship with Pinterest's vendor partner
  • Support team strategy for media planning, campaign management, media measurement and media channels (e-commerce, branding, formats and targeting)
  • Motivate, mentor and develop sales talent (managers and individual contributors), creating a positive culture
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including product, sales operations, and engineering to help Pinterest build a world-class advertising platform
  • Establish sales team KPIs that allow live time measurement against key quarterly OKRS 
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to business health
  • AI utilization: Understand and test various tools & approaches to aid in meeting preparation, performance analysis and ultimately enable prioritize high impact outcomes with velocity.

What we're looking for: 

  • 8+ years of professional experience in digital media or online advertising 
  • 2-3+ years of sales leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of leading sales teams to exceed quotas
  • Experience working for or with digital agencies, with a deep knowledge of the agency landscape, key decision makers, operating models, and commercial structures. Proven track record of managing revenue pipeline with forward-looking predictability
  • Ability and willingness to get your hands dirty - from SFDC reporting to call coaching, this leader will need to be able to go deep selectively to help inform the broader strategic vision
  • A data-driven leader with the ability to lead large teams against aggressive goals 
  • An independent, business-focused creative thinker who is excited to work with customers partners at scale
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a bias towards action 
  • Experience in project management, operations management, and/or vendor management 
  • Growth mindset & open-mindedness to new techniques, skill development and AI-led workflows to drive success at scale across a diverse set of advertisers.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, or equivalent experience
