Job description

If you enjoy working with school-age children and want to be part of a team that supports each other, this could be a great fit!

What You Will Do

This role supports our school-age program. During the summer, this is a full-time position. During the school year, this is a split-shift position supporting before and after school care.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Helping with school-age activities, games, projects, and daily routines
  • Supporting children during meals, transitions, outdoor play, and group activities
  • Supervising children during before and after school care
  • Helping with summer field trips and school-age events
  • Keeping classrooms, buses, and activity areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Providing positive guidance and support to children
  • Communicating with team members and families as needed
  • Driving children to and from school or scheduled field trips as needed

What We Need From You

We need team members who are reliable, flexible, and enjoy working with school-age children.

  • Available Monday through Friday
  • Full-time availability during the summer
  • Split-shift availability during the school year or willing to help in other classrooms
  • Able to work within our hours of 6:00 am to 6:30 pm as scheduled
  • Comfortable being active throughout the day and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • At least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license/Clean driving record
  • Willing to safely drive a large sized vehicle for school-age children

Qualifications

  • Patient, caring, and dependable
  • Enjoys working with school-age children
  • Able to stay organized and handle a busy environment
  • Food Handler Permit
  • First Aid and CPR, or willing to get certified
  • Willing to complete required child care training
  • At least 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record
