Job description

**Responsibilities

**

  • Lead actions and make sustainable improvements in the Scope of AES (improvement of SEQCDDM : Safety, Environment, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development and Management).
  • - Create the MIFC (Material and Information Flow Chart) and establish the actual, ideal and target state
  • - SEQCDDM targets defined by the Plant Manager, with the support and validation from the AES Manager to reduce scrap, improve productivity, reduce lead-time, ergonomic improvements and improve safety.
  • -Candidates will also focus on improving Standardized Work, Reduce Job Change Time (SMED), Implement Kanban Systems, Visual Mgt Controls, 5S, Inventory Management with FIFO, Teach, Train and Implement Performance Board Activities, Lead Cabbage Patch (Scrap Reduction) Activities, Understand Good 5S, Have a PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) mindset, Understand the Kaizen Concept and Implement and sustain the AES System & AGC Way Strategy.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, Some College Preferred
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge and methodologies.
  • Team working skills (division level, plant management level, and shop floor level)
  • Organizational and analytical skills;
  • Action oriented, shop floor oriented, people oriented
  • Standard driven, Quality oriented and adaptable;
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and operationally;
  • Excellent communication and networking skills (Excel, Power Point, SAP, Power BI);
  • Influencing skills and trainer/coaching experience in improvement methodologies;
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in an industrial environment;
  • Some degree of Lean manufacturing experience / Toyota Way is an advantage
  • Ability to travel (support key workshops in other plants, division meetings, go-and-see activities);
