Company Profile:
Alabama Ag Credit is a financial institution that provides financing for agriculture, agribusiness and rural real estate purchases and improvements. The institution is headquartered in Montgomery with ten offices that service the lower 40 counties of Alabama. With over $1.5 billion in assets, the institution is a cooperative and part of the nationwide Farm Credit System.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience and six (6) or more years of experience in the administration and analysis of complex credits on commercial and mortgage loans including experience in structuring and evaluating complex loan participations, credit relationships, and analysis of direct loans.
Essential Functions:
Assists relationship managers in the analysis and servicing of the association's mortgage and commercial loans. Works directly with lending staff in the development of appropriate credit decisions and prepares other reports as requested by management. Analyzes financial information including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow and tax returns to form an opinion of the strengths, weaknesses and risks associated with loan packages. Interprets, communicates, and provides guidance to relationship managers regarding association lending policies and procedures. Ensures that all assigned loans are properly risk rated, assigned loss given defaults are correct and performance status assignments are proper. Complies with proper credit administration practices as outlined in the association's policies and procedures. Assists senior-level credit analysts with complex loan applications as necessary. Occasional travel is required in this position.
At the discretion of Alabama Ag Credit, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.
