AlphaBEST Education - Sterling, VA - Loudoun County
 
$500 HIRING BONUS

*Eligible new hires receive a $500 hiring bonus! Half when hired and half after successfully completing 6 months of employment and meeting applicable eligibility requirements.*

Pay: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday
PART TIME AFTERNOON: 2:15 PM - 6:00 PM
About the Role
AlphaBEST Education is seeking a Site Director to lead a before and after-school program for elementary students. This part-time leadership role is ideal for educators or youth program professionals who enjoy working with children and leading a small team in a structured school-based environment.
The Site Director oversees daily program operations, ensures student safety, supports staff, and builds strong relationships with families and school partners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the daily operations of the before and after-school program
  • Maintain safe staff-to-student ratios and licensing compliance
  • Supervise and support program staff
  • Implement engaging enrichment and learning activities
  • Maintain attendance, documentation, and program records
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured environment for students
  • Communicate with families, school administration, and AlphaBEST leadership
  • Prepare the site for licensing visits and inspections
  • Monitor supplies, snacks, and program materials
Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old

High School Diploma or equivalent required

At least 1 year of experience working with school-age children with skills in managing, planning, or staffing

Candidates must meet one of the following education requirements:

Child Development Associate (CDA), OR

12 college credits in child care or a related field within a minimum of 48 total college credits, OR

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in child care or a related field


Preferred:

Experience in teaching, youth programs, or childcare

Previous team leadership or staff supervision

Physical Requirements

Ability to work with children in an active environment

Regular bending, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds
