Position: After-School Nanny

Location: N, Arlington, VA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–7:00 PM

Start Date: January 5, 2025

Compensation: $26–$28/hour

Family Overview:

The Family is seeking a dependable and experienced after-school nanny to care for their two active children, ages 9 and 11. The ideal candidate will support daily routines, after-school activities, and homework, while fostering a positive and nurturing environment. The family also has a friendly dog, so comfort with pets is important.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely pick up children from Washington International School (1690 36th Street NW, Washington, DC).
  • Transport children to and from after-school activities, primarily swim practice.
  • Prepare and provide nutritious snacks and light meals before practices.
  • Ensure children have all necessary gear and are organized for activities.
  • Assist children in getting started on homework after activities.
  • Handle light household duties such as tidying common areas, managing the dishwasher, or folding laundry as needed.
  • Engage with children in a positive, supportive, and encouraging manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional childcare or nanny experience, preferably with school-aged children.
