Job description

Orbus, is a leading and highly successful manufacturer and trade distributor of products and services to the tradeshow and display industries. We are a visual communication disrupter providing products and services to help speak a company’s brand and vision! We are headquartered in Woodridge, IL and seeking a Digital Print Operator for our Woodridge facility!

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to continue a career in the printing industry. We provide a comprehensive training program, as well as excellent benefits. We are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude, who works well under pressure, and has experience in the large format print field.

Our large format digital print department is in need of a candidate who can multi-task and can work well both within a team and on their own. Responsibilities include processing files with RIP software, organizing daily work schedule, running and maintaining 1-2 grand format printers. Experience with Pantone books, Ergosoft RIP software as well as EFI Vutek/Reggiani print equipment and Dye-Sublimation 2 step transfer process.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily printing and maintenance on UV and/or Dye Sublimation equipment
  • Responsible for quality of jobs printed (output, correct images/quantities,color, material quality).
  • Read and understand work orders and written instructions
  • Communicates with Art Team & Finishers regarding any critical job details
  • Able to complete preventative maintenance on equipment as well as successfully troubleshoot printing problems
  • Willingness to cross-train on other equipment and other departments
  • Physical demands: able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Monday-Friday (day shift) schedule with OT as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 to 2 years experience in the large format print field or tradeshow industry
  • Hard-working, dependable and detail oriented while operating within a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to understand measurements and fractions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Effective communication and time management skills
