Job description

Hiring Leader/Mentor/Coach/Father Figure/Uncle Figure
Several positions available. Looking to hire a Full Time male role models who can lead young adults with developmental disabilities. Looking for a male figure that has prior experience coaching, mentoring, encouraging young adults. The type of individual we seek should be equipped to work with adults with strong, combative, oppositional personalities. Seeking a team player who can also lead and train staff in behavioral intervention techniques. The individual should also be able to teach simple life skills to adults with DD. This particular individual will work with individuals who have no fathers in their lives or their fathers are absent from their lives. 
 
Responsibilities: 
Help develop and train young adults to better themselves in overall independence and character. 
Give guidance and support where needed in personal growth journey.
Transport and Chaperone young adults out in the community. 
Administer medication as needed. 
Able to understand the needs of individuals. 
Help achieving personal goals. 
Communicate to Staff observations and findings via various communication channels. 
Train staff in behavioral intervention techniques and positive reinforcement strategies. 
 
Shifts Vary: 
 
Days:
Sunday - Saturday
 
Hours: 
Vary (mostly afternoons and evenings) 
Ex: 1:30pm - 9:30pm 
Ex: 4pm - 8pm
Ex: 1:30pm-8:30pm
Ex: 2pm - 10pm
 
Pay: 
$19-$33 / hour (Depends on relevant Experience, Background, Education, and Certifications)

ARF Administrator Certification
Direct Support Professional 1 & 2
Residential Specialist Servicers 1 & 2
Positive Behavior Supports
Pro-Act or Crisis Prevention Intervention
Behavior Technician
Applied Behavior Analysis
B.S./M.S. Behavioral Sciences/Psychology/Sociology/Counseling
BCaBA or BCBA
 
Required: 
Be able to pass a background check
Proof of Negative Tuberculosis
Valid CA Driver License
Be able to work with adults with strong, combative, oppositional personalities.
