Description

Brewster Academy is a private, coeducational boarding and day school located on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, dedicated to our mission of preparing diverse thinkers for lives of purpose. Founded in 1820, the school combines a strong college preparatory curriculum with innovative teaching methods, emphasizing technology integration, personalized learning, and leadership development. Brewster's scenic waterfront campus offers students a balance of academic challenge, athletic opportunity, and artistic expression, all within a close-knit and supportive community.


Essential duties:


Teach 4 sections of math:

  • Submit grades/comments
  • Communicate with parents, as needed
  • Participate in faculty, department, and team meetings


  • Serve as an academic/extracurricular advisor to approximately 6 to 8 students
  • Coach or assist with afternoon athletics for 2 seasons per year, or lead/support other co-curricular activities, or serve as a primary dorm affiliate, year-round
  • Provide weekend coverage approximately 5 times per academic year

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Teaching experience is preferred but not required
  • Passion for teaching
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Commitment to working in an inclusive community
  • Coach or assist with sports or afternoon activities is required (experience with ice hockey, soccer, crew, basketball, tennis, or dance is preferred).
