Job description

AWS Developer Experience is looking for a Marketing Manager to own the end-to-end marketing strategy and digital presence for the AWS Builder Loft program globally. Builder Lofts are physical developer community spaces where builders come together for hands-on workshops, hackathons, technical talks and networking.
This role is critical for driving awareness and sustained audience growth through data-driven campaigns, compelling content, and seamless integration between physical touchpoints and digital engagement.

This is a high-impact role that requires a marketer who combines strong storytelling with multi-channel marketing experience, thinks globally while executing locally, and understands developer communities. We're looking for someone who has the ability to build marketing playbooks, mechanisms, and scalable frameworks that allow a fast-growing global program to operate with consistency and efficiency. You leverage AI tools and automation to multiply your impact, move faster, and continuously improve marketing performance.

You will work cross-functionally with PR, community, events, developer advocacy, and product teams across different geographies to build repeatable strategies and execution frameworks for a rapidly scaling global program.
Key job responsibilities
- Promotion Strategy: Develop and execute the Loft promotion strategy across AWS-owned and third-party email programs, social media, web, and grassroots channels to drive awareness, events registration/attendance and returning visitors
- Registration & CRM Management: Manage event registration platforms and ensure seamless data flow to marketing CRMs, maintaining data integrity and enabling automated nurture workflows.
- Content Calendar & Publishing: Own the content calendar for the Builder Loft content series showcasing Loft experiences, builder stories, and hands-on learning opportunities.

Coordinate with team members and external partners to drive content creation and ensure editorial quality.
- KPI Tracking & Reporting: Track and report on marketing KPIs including registration conversion rates, email open/click rates, social media engagement, content reach, and web monthly active users.
- Audience Analysis: Conduct demographic and cohort analysis of Loft attendees to inform programming and outreach decisions.

Own attendee data analysis, identifying trends in audience composition, repeat attendance, and engagement patterns.
- PR Coordination: Coordinate with AWS PR teams high-profile event announcements, ensuring consistent messaging and maximum media impact.
- Localization: Lead localization efforts where necessary, adapting marketing materials, campaigns, and content for local markets while maintaining brand consistency.

- Physical-to-Digital Engagement Strategy Ownership: Designing the strategy that moves builders from initial awareness and in-person attendance into sustained always-on digital engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Community & Partnerships Manager on community channel promotion and co-marketing with partners. Work effectively across AWS with groups such as developer advocacy, digital marketing, field marketing, sales, and startup teams.

A day in the life
You start the morning working on a social media campaign highlighting the communities that the Builder Loft has been working with for the past year with the goal of acquiring new strategic partners who can host events in the space. You use an AI summarization tool to pull key information about previous campaign data, audience insights, industry trends, social media platform know-hows and feed them into the plan.
Mid-morning, you join a cross-functional sync with the PR team to align on the messaging framework for an upcoming high profile Builder Loft event.

After that, you're reviewing the content calendar, writing an article, and briefing your agency partner on assets needed for the next campaign sprint.
In the afternoon, you're building a new campaign playbook, documenting the end-to-end process for a "city launch" so that when the next Builder Loft opens, there's a repeatable, high-quality execution plan ready to deploy. You close the day by organizing customer feedback you've seen online and compiling a collection of social media posts and other coverage, sending a Slack recap to your team members with synthesized insights and trends.
