Job description

Vascular Ultrasound Tech - Contingent/Afternoons - Detroit

Vascular Ultrasound Tech
Shift: Contingent - Afternoon Shift
Location: Detroit Campus-2799 W. Grand Blvd Detroit MI 48202

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Independently performs vascular diagnostic procedures utilizing ultrasound and vascular physiologic testing equipment as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols and established standard operating procedures. Utilizes independent judgment and critical thinking.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Candidate must meet one of the following credential criteria:
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT);
  • Cardiovascular Credentialling International (CCI)
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS);
  • Must be eligible to take the registry exam upon hire.
  • Certification (RVT/RVS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Failure to do so will result in termination of position.
  • BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification required upon hire.
