Overview POSITION TITLE (Oracle title) DATA ANALYST WORKING TITLE Data Analyst-Office of Early Learning (OEL) SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT Office of Early Learning (OEL) LOCATION Crossroads II, Cary, NC PAY GRADE Noncertified Grade 26 FLSA STATUS Nonexempt ELIGIBILITY FOR EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT No WORK WEEK SCHEDULE Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is available for a hybrid telework workweek POSITION PURPOSE: Ensures the accuracy of the current and historical databases in the OEL. Provides weekly/monthly/yearly reports on OEL programs and services. Develops and maintains OEL Data Dashboard.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs) Considerable knowledge PowerSchool/Infinite Campus, Every Child Accountability & Tracking System (ECATS), and Canvas; Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access; Google Apps; Office 365; Considerable knowledge of federal, state, and local program requirements; Considerable knowledge of database systems; Effective time management skills; Detail oriented with ability to work under pressure with complex data; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback; Ability to analyze and organize data within large, complex databases; Ability to work independently and complete tasks; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, community partners, vendors, and contractors. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE Associate's degree in information systems, business administration, programming, or equivalent work experience; Three years of experience in database management or experience in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license according to the State of NC requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with NC App database; Experience with Bridgecare Application. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures the accuracy of the current and historical databases in the OEL.

Provides weekly/monthly/yearly reports and spreadsheets on OEL programs and services. Researches and performs data analysis to disseminate specialized reports. Researches and analyzes district maps, capacities and comparison of Pre-K programs.

Maintains and analyzes Teaching Strategies Gold data. Develops and updates OEL Data Dashboard. Works with other departments to establish and maintain kindergarten readiness data.

Performs backup data entry into collaborative system for Pre-K student placement. Processes preschool student data changes. Serves on Wake Pre-K Collaborative with NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (NC DCDEE), Telamon Head Start, and Wake County Smart Start.

Assists in compiling and analyzing screening and placement data. Collaborates with community partners (NC DCDEE, Telamon Head Start, and Wake County Smart Start), to analyze shared data. Enters and maintains Parent Powered enrollments.

Performs other related duties, as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers.

The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, staff members of external funding agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work frequently requires activities involving driving automotive equipment.
