Configuration/Maintenance Analyst
R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (R&K) is a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business with an earned reputation for delivering best-value services in Information Technology, Program Security, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Project and Program Management, Exercise Support and a variety of administrative services to Government agencies.
The United States Coast Guard (USCG), The Surface Fores Logistics Center (SFLC), Ice Breaker, Buoy and Construction Tender Product Line (IBCTPL), Engineering Branch, is responsible for the management of Engineering and Logistics for all assigned assets.
R&K has an opportunity to provide the USCG with logistics support services to include Maintenance Development, Maintenance Analysis, System Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) Engineering Change (EC) Development and Administrative Support, Configuration Management Data Management, Provisioning, Supply and Discrepancy Support.
R&K's is recruiting a Configuration/Maintenance Analyst to support USCG SFLC
Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Title: Configuration/Maintenance Analyst
Location: Baltimore, MD, Hybrid (with potential for remote flexibility)
Duration: Permanent/Full-Time
Clearance: Tier 1 (NACI) Investigative Clearance/Background
Start Date: Anticipated start date Sept. 27th, 2026, contingent upon award.
Duties: Will provide technical support to assist the IBCTPL Configuration Data Manager (CDM) with cutter class maintenance and configuration management IA W with the Configuration Management Process Guide, CGTO PG-85-00-670 (Series).
  • The contractor shall provide the data to establish Configuration Item Functional Descriptions (CIFDs), properly select Cis to maintain fleet data, and populate platform system trees.
  • The contractor shall analyze ECs and construct Configuration Management sets to update cutter configuration upon implementation of engineering changes.
  • The contractor shall develop and maintain Maintenance standards (MS) and Maintenance Items (Mis) to ensure consistency between MPCs and FLS.
  • The contractor shall maintain Cls within FLS to accurately reflect maintenance needs of the fleet.
  • The contractor shall validate APL data associated with MPCs.
  • The contractor shall create associated MS upon MPC publication release.
  • The contractor shall analyze and validate Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs) for Tools/Test Equipment, Expendables and Consumables, and ensure consistency with FLS Maintenance Standards and Maintenance Items.

Requirements, Relevant Knowledge and/or Skills Required:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of all preferred systems.
  • Physically capable of validating equipment in a shipboard environment which may include climbing stairs and ladders, transiting tight spaces, working in extreme heat, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members, internal and external Coast Guard personnel and work in a team environment, collaborating with others to solve problems and develop innovative solutions often working with a diverse group of people that are geographically dispersed.
  • Ability to clearly speak, read, and write in American English using proper grammar and punctuation. Oral and written communication skills to prepare complete, logically arranged, and legally defensible technical documents for incorporation into contracts are essential. This task involves speaking to a wide variety of people both internal and external to the Coast Guard and in commercial industries that serve the Coast Guard's needs.
  • Working knowledge of varying Coast Guard processes, principles, and tools. These include databases used to review, maintain, and update cutter maintenance records.
  • Required to navigate the following programs to accomplish assigned tasks: FLS, NESSS, CGMS, Web-FLIS, SFLC Knowledge Library App, SMDP, Haystack, Electronic Routing tools, and STIPffiMS. Additional programs or applications may be identified to correctly complete duties.
