Overview

Data Analyst/ Data Engineer IIBowhead seeks a Data Analyst/ Data Engineer II to support the AF FIAR contract located at Joint Base Andrews, MD. AF FIAR provides audit and audit system remediation services for beginning-to-end support as it relates to audit remediation, sustainment, and financial statements reporting and analysis.

The Data Analyst/ Data Engineer II will create and maintain databases or development of data and analytics experience (i.e. creation of data visualizations, data analytic reports, data cleansing scripts and processes or performing technical data analytics).

Responsibilities
  • Build and deploy process automation and research and development of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning capability
  • Encompass visualization and reporting techniques and toolsets to support the automation of day-to-day financial operations
  • Utilize rapid development techniques which conform with current information technology protocols
  • Monitor and sustain the execution of tools developed and correct any issues identified
  • Analyze and review requests for producing ad-hoc data analytics solutions.
  • Data analytical tool development
  • Deliver all programming scripts and results of execution data
  • Develop and provide training as necessary to ensure that users of data analytic tools and reporting capabilities understand the information.
  • Track and facilitate metrics reporting; support the development of meeting agendas, briefing materials, and meeting minutes; and create desk procedures/standard operating procedures for continuity purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • BA/S in a relevant technical field preferred. An additional four (4) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Four (4+) years of relevant technical experience creating/maintaining databases or developing data and analytics experience
  • Creation of data visualizations, data analytic reports, data cleansing scripts and processes or performing technical data analytics
  • Four (4+) years of Experience with Python, SQL, R, Scala, or Visual Basic
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with proven experience mentoring and leading technical teams.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity and experience with the Operational AF Financial Data Structure and Operational AF data Dictionary

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
