We are seeking energetic, knowledgeable, flexible, team-oriented, highly-skilled teachers for classes that teach English to adult Multilingual Learners. The position requires the ability to provide rigorous instruction designed to
improve students' speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English; plan effective lessons and assess student learning; maintain high expectations while providing support for students who are struggling; build students'
digital literacy skills in the ELL classroom; and collaborate with other teachers. Successful candidates will have excellent teaching skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience teaching English Language Learners; and the ability to be flexible and independent in learning to teach new content. At least three years of teaching experience, particularly with various ELL levels and with adults is preferred. The ELL classes could be:
  • In-person or online (synchronous)
  • Any of the ELL levels Beginner - 5
  • Likely 2 days/week for 2 hours per class
  • Morning, afternoon, or evening
