Job description

Description:

For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of Godโ€™s Word. Today weโ€™re one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world. Though our business has grown, our mission remains the same: to open Godโ€™s Word to as many as possible in language they can relate to and understand.

Tyndale is seeking a talented Content Marketing Specialist to shape how readers discover and connect with our books, Bibles, and brands across the digital landscape. In this role, you'll drive real business impact, turning marketing priorities into compelling content that boosts organic visibility, deepens audience engagement, and supports sales for major book and Bible launches. Success in this role calls for a rare combination of sharp editorial instincts and polished writing ability, paired with hands-on CMS publishing skills and a practical command of SEO and keyword strategy. You'll need to be equally comfortable crafting a compelling headline, managing a fast-moving editorial calendar, and mining performance data to sharpen what comes next. Apply your craft in service of a mission that matters, working alongside marketing, editorial, publishing, and creative teams to bring life-giving content to our readers!

What You'll Do

  • Write and edit compelling, story-driven content that brings fresh perspectives and a consistent brand voice to books, Bibles, authors, and corporate marketing channels.
  • Publish and manage digital content using Content Management Systems (CMS), ensuring content is accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Optimize content for search and discovery by applying SEO best practices, conducting keyword research, and incorporating emerging search and AI discovery trends.
  • Coordinate the shared content calendar, tracking priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while helping keep cross-functional projects on schedule.
  • Partner with marketing, editorial, publishing, and creative teams to develop content that supports new releases, seasonal campaigns, promotions, and long-term brand initiatives.
  • Monitor content performance and audience engagement, using analytics and insights to continuously improve content effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
  • 3โ€“5+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, communications, publishing, or digital content roles.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with CMS platforms, including publishing and updating web content.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles and keyword application in editorial content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common digital content tools.
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as Godโ€™s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith
