AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

coordinator believes in a friendly workspace and encourages all demonstrators to be open and to share any concerns or important matters with him.

There will be weekly lab meetings held with all TAs together from all sections (French and English) before the labs start that

week (either a Monday or Tuesday per week).

PLEASE NOTE: Labs are broken into 2 x 3hr time slots over 2 days. Either Wednesday Afternoon to Thursday Morning OR

Thursday Afternoon to Friday Morning. All afternoon slots are 1 to 4 pm while morning slots are 8:30 am to 11:30. TAs

must be at the lab 10 min at the latest before the lab starts. There will be weekly lab meetings to go over each week's scheduled experiments.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Familiarity with modern concepts in genomics, molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry; GRADUATE STUDENTS ARE PREFERRED as this is a 4th year course meant to showcase graduate-level research. Graduate applicants who have strong molecular and/or cellular biology experience are STRONGLY encouraged to apply. For example, in this lab, we do bioinforamtics, gene cloning, cell manipulation and transfections, and fluorescence microscopy.

2. Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
