Job description

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) โ€“ School Bus Nurse (Afternoon Shift)

BrightStar Care Amarilloย is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one nursing support for medically fragile students during their afternoon bus ride home from school. In this role, you'll help ensure students travel safely while providing skilled nursing care as needed.

Schedule & Pay
  • Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, 3:00 PM โ€“ 5:30 PM
  • Pay: $25.00โ€“$30.00 per hour
Responsibilities
  • Accompany medically fragile students during afternoon bus transportation
  • Monitor students' health and provide nursing care as needed during transit
  • Respond appropriately to medical needs or emergencies
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and caring environment
  • Communicate professionally with school staff, families, and the BrightStar Care team
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely
Qualifications
  • Active Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Pediatric or medically fragile patient experience preferred
  • Reliable, compassionate, and attentive to detail
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
