Company Description

Lead the Technology Behind Life-Saving Medical Devices

At Life Science Outsourcing (LSO), the systems you manage do more than keep a business running. They keep a regulated medical device manufacturer producing products that reach real patients. As our Senior IT Manager, you will own information technology across our California and New Hampshire facilities, combining strategic planning with hands-on technical depth to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant technology operations.

This role suits a leader who is equally comfortable setting a technology roadmap with executives and rolling up their sleeves on infrastructure, cybersecurity, and ERP. LSO runs a co-managed IT model: you supervise our internal L1 support specialist, personally own L2 escalations, and direct a back-end L3 engineering MSP. If you want real, hands-on ownership of the full IT function in a regulated manufacturing environment, this is that seat.

We encourage you to submit a resume with salary requirements.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead all aspects of IT for approximately 220 employees across two manufacturing sites.

Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and execute LSO's IT strategy and technology roadmap in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Manage IT budgets, vendors, software licensing, contracts, and managed service providers.
  • Lead enterprise AI adoption and governance, collaborating with our parent company's AI initiatives.

Infrastructure and Operations

  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, virtualization, networking, and endpoint management.
  • Ensure high availability through monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Serve as the L2 escalation tier, providing hands-on troubleshooting across Microsoft 365 and Entra, endpoints, servers, networking, Deacom, and production applications.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives supporting NIST 800-171, ISO 13485, FDA, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain IT governance, policies, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and data integrity for electronic records in our quality system.

ERP and Business Applications

  • Serve as the primary IT owner of our Deacom ERP environment and related manufacturing applications.
  • Drive reporting, automation, and continuous process improvement across business systems.

Team and Vendor Management

  • Supervise and develop our L1 IT Support Specialist (first-touch support, onboarding, equipment, routine requests), providing L1 coverage when needed, including remote supervision.
  • Direct our co-managed L3 engineering MSP: you own every escalation as the internal point of contact and work directly with the MSP on resolution; the MSP does not support end users.
  • Retain internal ownership of Deacom application support, OT and production systems, physical-access systems, and backup and disaster recovery.
Qualifications

What You Bring

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible IT experience, including 3+ years managing IT operations, projects, or technical teams.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, networking, virtualization, and endpoint management.
  • Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or SOC, plus PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment; familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 and computer system validation principles is a strong plus.

Mindset & Impact

  • An owner's mentality: you treat uptime, security, and data integrity as personal commitments.
  • Comfort operating at two altitudes, presenting a roadmap to executives in the morning and troubleshooting infrastructure in the afternoon.
  • Calm, structured judgment during incidents, audits, and inspections.
  • A collaborative style that builds trust with Operations, Quality, Finance, and site leadership across two locations.

Additional Information

Compensation

The expected pay range for this position is dependent on experience, qualifications, primary work location, and internal equity. LSO reviews compensation regularly and offers competitive pay aligned with market benchmarks for the Brea, California and Somersworth, New Hampshire areas.

Why Join LSO?

  • Your work directly supports life-saving medical devices used by real patients.
  • Full ownership of the IT function with direct access to executive leadership.
  • A regulated industry environment that builds rare, career-defining compliance and systems expertise.
  • Two-site scope with modern cloud infrastructure and an active AI enablement agenda.
  • A collaborative, hands-on culture where your decisions are visible on the production floor.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work arrangement based at either our Brea, CA or Somersworth, NH facility.
  • Periodic travel between sites (approximately 4 to 6 trips annually).
  • Participation in after-hours support for critical production or infrastructure incidents.
  • Primarily office-based work with occasional presence in production, cleanroom, warehouse, and server areas subject to facility PPE and gowning requirements.
  • FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 regulated manufacturing environment.

Make an Impact

Every system you secure, every audit you pass, and every hour of uptime you protect helps LSO deliver medical devices that clinicians and patients depend on. This is a role where technology leadership translates directly into patient impact. If you are ready to own IT for a growing, regulated manufacturer, we want to meet you.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
