As a Solutions Architect II, you'll work at the intersection of technology and business transformation, partnering directly with customers to architect scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud solutions. You'll leverage your problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and ownership mindset to translate customer requirements into innovative technical designs. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow your expertise across multiple technology domains while making meaningful impact on customer success and cloud adoption.
Key job responsibilities
Design and build end-to-end cloud architecture solutions that address customer business challenges, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and performant while considering deployment environments and trade-offs
Collaborate with AWS Sales, Business Development, and Professional Services teams to drive customer success, accelerate AWS service adoption, and progress opportunities through their lifecycle
Educate customers and share best practices by developing and delivering technical content including sample code, blog posts, presentations, white papers, and workshops that incorporate lessons learned from customer engagements
Serve as a trusted technical advisor by diving deep into technical details with customer teams, translating customer input into technical requirements, and identifying gaps in products and services
Mentor teammates on designing technical customer solutions, participate in peer design reviews, and contribute to team improvement initiatives while building relationships with customer peers to proactively anticipate future needs

Your day blends strategic customer engagements with hands-on technical problem-solving

You might start with a customer workshop designing cloud architecture for a migration project, collaborating with account teams to develop technical approaches. After reviewing architectural designs and providing best practice guidance, you'll lead discovery sessions exploring analytics or compute solutions. You'll spend time creating technical content like blog posts or sample code that captures best practices.

The afternoon might include internal knowledge-sharing with the Solutions Architect community or preparing for upcoming customer presentations, all while staying current with the latest AWS innovations.
