Work Environment

This role is structured as a remote position within our outpatient office, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a collaborative team atmosphere. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's trauma history, guiding the development of effective treatment plans.
  • Creating individualized treatment strategies aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience through a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group sessions.
  • Leading both individual and group therapy sessions that support patients in processing their trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and fostering emotional growth.
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and various interdisciplinary professionals to ensure the holistic care of each patient.
  • Providing crisis intervention and immediate guidance in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients feel supported during critical moments.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.
  • An active license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience post-licensure in trauma-focused settings.
