Location: Northstar Preschools
Position Type: Part-Time during school year (Afternoon Hours) Full time in the summer
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, After School (Typical hours 3:00pm-6:30pm. Fridays 1:00-6:30)
Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and nurturing individual to join our School-Age After School Program team. This position supports children ages 5-12 in a safe, structured, and engaging environment after their school day. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with children, promoting independence, and creating fun, meaningful experiences.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of school-age children
  • Lead engaging activities including arts & crafts, STEM projects, outdoor play, and group games
  • Support children with homework in a positive and encouraging manner
  • Maintain a structured and organized classroom environment
  • Foster respectful behavior and positive peer interactions
  • Communicate professionally with parents and team members
  • Follow licensing regulations and center policies
  • Assist with daily cleaning and classroom organization

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with school-age children preferred
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable transportation
