Marketing Intern

Job Summary
This 12 week, 20 hours/week, paid internship will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications assisting with the needs of both the Marketing & Resource Development Departments.

This is a 100% onsite position
Essential Functions
  • Perform all duties in a manner that reflects the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware character attributes of caring, honesty, respect, confidentiality and responsibility
  • Assist with projects related to carrying out the Marketing Plan and related efforts.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling all RD and Marketing documents and information.
  • Support content creation efforts such as blog posts, newsletters, and graphics for digital and print marketing.
  • Conduct market research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences to help inform marketing strategies.
  • Assist with social media management, including crafting posts, captions, reels and monitoring engagement across platforms.
  • Support special event efforts, including creating promotional materials, and capturing photos/content during events.
  • Assist Resource Development team as needed, including creation of one-pagers and related supports

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a college accredited program for a degree in a Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Organized, efficient and able to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)

Environmental and Working Conditions:
Environmental and working conditions are predominantly indoors; local and occasional statewide travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Maintain a high energy level.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Statewide travel: 20%
  • Transportation required.

Work hours: Monday- Friday. Flexibility to work between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m
Estimated start/end date- September 7th - November 27th (flexible)
