About the Role:
Soccer Stars Queens NY is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Afterschool Science Instructor to join our team in Queens, NY! This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds through hands-on science education in a fun, engaging afterschool environment. If you love working with kids and have a knack for making science exciting, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science lessons and experiments for afterschool students
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all participants
  • Facilitate hands-on STEM activities that encourage curiosity and critical thinking
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, structured atmosphere
  • Track student progress and participation, reporting updates to program coordinators
  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to develop curriculum and program activities
  • Ensure proper setup, cleanup, and safety of all science materials and equipment
Requirements:
  • Experience working with primary school children in an educational or recreational setting
  • Background in science, education, or a related field (degree or coursework preferred)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex science concepts for young learners
  • Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic team player
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a background check
Schedule: -
Days: Monday-Friday (part-time availability) - Time: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM we strongly prefer candidates who can commit for the full 2026-27 school year.
