Fun Afternoons with Keiki! Be the best part of a child's school day

The final bell rings—but the day is just getting started.

As an After School Group Leader with Kamaʻāina Kids, you'll turn afternoons into opportunities for children to learn, play, build friendships, and discover new interests. Every day brings something different, from leading active games to helping with homework or guiding creative projects.

Part-Time | Lihue (Kauai)
$18–$21/hour + Benefits for Part-Time Employees

What You’ll Love This RoleA Schedule That Works Around Your Life
  • Monday through Friday afternoons

  • Typical shifts from 1:30 PM–5:30 PM

  • Wednesday shifts begin around 12:30 PM for early-release schools

  • No evenings

  • No weekends

  • No holiday shifts

You'll help create an engaging, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to come each afternoon by:

  • Leading games, sports, and recreational activities

  • Planning crafts, STEM projects, and enrichment experiences

  • Helping students with homework and academic support

  • Building positive relationships with children and families

  • Encouraging teamwork, kindness, and respectful behavior

  • Keeping programs organized, safe, and fun

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Enjoy working with elementary-aged children

  • Bring enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude

  • Are dependable and ready to lead by example
