Extended Day Teacher - Chesterbrook Academy

Chesterbrook Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Extended Day Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for students after the school day. Our balanced, STEAM-focused approach helps students become creative problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and confident leaders.

About the Role

As an Extended Day Teacher, you will supervise students while providing a thoughtful mix of homework support, creative activities, games, and indoor and outdoor play. You will help students transition successfully from the classroom into the extended day program while maintaining a positive, nurturing environment.

You Will Also...

  • Supervise students during structured activities, free play, and transitions
  • Assist students with homework and other educational activities
  • Plan and facilitate engaging activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play
  • Follow established safety, attendance, and dismissal procedures
  • Build positive relationships with students and encourage respectful behavior
  • Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and other team members to support an exceptional student experience
  • Assist with seasonal camps and school events based on your interest and availability

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Availability from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at least three days per week
  • Previous experience working with children preferred
  • A positive, patient, and energetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to supervise indoor and outdoor activities safely and attentively
  • Ability to successfully pass state and federal background checks
