Position Summary

The Cougar Club Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of the school's after-school program in a manner that reflects and supports CCA’s mission, values, and biblical principles. This position provides leadership for program staff, ensures a safe and nurturing environment for students, and helps develop engaging activities that promote students' spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth. The Director supervises daily operations, manages student attendance and behavior, communicates effectively with parents and school administration, and ensures compliance with all school policies and applicable regulations. The After School Care Coordinator serves as a positive Christian role model, fostering meaningful relationships with students and families while creating an atmosphere of care, respect, and Christ-centered learning.

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the daily operation of the after-school care program.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of all students enrolled in the program.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that support students' academic, social, physical, and spiritual development.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate after-school care staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios and ensure adequate coverage during program hours.
  • Develop and enforce program policies, procedures, and behavioral expectations consistent with school standards.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and healthy relationships.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student needs, program updates, concerns, and accomplishments.
  • Collaborate with school administration, faculty, and staff to support school-wide goals and student success.
  • Manage student attendance records, sign-in/sign-out procedures, incident reports, and other required documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain program supplies, equipment, and facilities, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and stewardship of program resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all school policies and safety procedures, as applicable.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness procedures and respond appropriately to accidents, illnesses, or behavioral incidents.
  • Model Christian values, professionalism, integrity, and servant leadership in all interactions with students, families, and staff.
Qualifications
  • A mature and growing personal faith in Jesus Christ consistent with CCA’s Statement of Faith and an active member of a Bible believing church

  • Commitment to Christian education and Christ-centered student development

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 3-5 years experience in an educational setting preferred

  • Strong administrative leadership and management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with consistency and professionalism

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
