Job description

Job Summary
The Deal Center Tutoring Assistant will provide academic support to students during or after the school day. This position reports to the Program Manager at the Deal Center for Early Language and Literacy.
Responsibilities
Tutoring - 75
Serve as part of the academic afterschool team.
Expected to work with the general education teacher to support students in their reading efforts.
Provide support with passage reading, fluency, and dictation.
Expected to respect the job; demonstrating reliability, focusing on education, and sincere concern for the students.
Data Collection - 10
Collect progress monitoring data routinely on each student.
Training - 10
Engage in initial training as well as follow up training as needed.
Other - 5
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Student enrolled in at least six credit hours as an undergraduate student at Georgia College.
Ability to work a flexible schedule around class commitments.
