Job description

AFTER SCHOOL CARE, PRIMARY SCHOOL
The After School Care position involves caring for students after school hours, including developing and conducting activities, and supervising students, ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure environment.
Specific Duties include:
  • Supervise students in a child care environment, ensuring a safe, healthy, and secure environment.
  • Prepare plan of activities and prepare materials for daily group activities for a variety of age levels.
  • Supervise and help students with homework.
  • Serve and clean up after snack.
  • Discipline children in activities as needed.
  • Receive and respond to written or verbal messages from parents.
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment for children by cleaning the facility, sanitizing surfaces, and putting toys and games away.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience and stay actively involved with young students.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment testing consisting of background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Minimum Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with children in a classroom environment preferred

The hours for this position are 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
